HOW TO USE:
- Locate the Puncture: Carefully inspect the tire to find the object causing the puncture. Mark the area if necessary.
- Remove the Object: Use pliers or a similar tool to carefully extract the object from the tire.
- Prepare the Area: Use the buffer stitcher to thoroughly clean and roughen the area around the puncture. This creates a textured surface essential for the patch to adhere properly.
- Apply Rubber Cement: Apply a thin, even layer of the included rubber cement to the prepared area on the tire. Allow it to become slightly tacky, usually for a few minutes, as per the cement's instructions.
- Apply the Patch: Select the appropriate size patch (2-inch medium or 3-1/8 inch large) for the puncture. Remove the backing from the patch and center it over the hole, pressing it firmly from the center outwards to remove any air bubbles.
- Secure the Patch: Use the buffer stitcher again to press down firmly on the patch, working from the center outward, to ensure complete and secure adhesion to the tire surface.
- Check for Leaks: Inflate the tire to its recommended pressure and check for any remaining air leaks using soapy water. If no bubbles appear, the repair is holding.
