?️ New Toolbox Setup Guide

Congratulations on your new Viper toolbox! Whether it's a rolling cabinet or a stationary top chest, this guide will help you set it up efficiently and safely.

? What's in the Box?

Before diving in, ensure you have all the components:

  • For Rolling Toolboxes:

    • 4 casters (2 swivel, 2 fixed)

    • Hex bolts and washers

    • Side handle

    • Drawer liners (precut or roll)

    • 1 pair of keys

  • For Top Chests:

    • Drawer liners (precut or roll)

    • 1 pair of keys

Step 1: Unboxing & Inspection

  1. Unpack Carefully: Remove all packaging materials. For larger toolboxes on pallets, cut and remove straps, then lift off any protective coverings. Assistance is recommended for heavy items.

  2. Inspect for Damage: Check for any dents, scratches, or missing parts. If you notice any issues, contact Viper Tool Storage customer support before proceeding.

Step 2: Installing Casters (Rolling Toolboxes Only)

  1. Position the Toolbox: Lay it on its back or side on a padded surface to prevent scratches.

  2. Attach Casters:

    • Align each caster with the pre-drilled holes at the bottom corners.

    • Typically, two casters are swivel-style and two are fixed.

    • Insert hex bolts through the holes, securing with washers and nuts.

    • Tighten all bolts securely using a wrench.

  3. Upright the Toolbox: Carefully stand the toolbox upright.

Step 3: Installing the Side Handle (Rolling Toolboxes Only)

  1. Locate Handle Holes: Find the pre-drilled holes on one side of the toolbox.

  2. Attach Handle:

    • Align the handle with the holes.

    • Secure it using the provided bolts and washers.

    • Tighten until snug with a wrench.

Step 4: Placing Drawer Liners

  1. Precut Liners: Simply place them inside each drawer.

  2. Roll Liners:

    • Measure each drawer.

    • Cut the liner to fit.

    • Press down to ensure they stay in place.

✅ Final Checks & Tips

  • Lock Mechanism: Test the lock with the provided keys to ensure it operates smoothly.

  • Caster Locks: If your toolbox has locking casters, engage them to confirm they hold securely.

  • Weight Distribution: Store heavier items in lower drawers to maintain stability.
