HOW TO USE:
- Access the AED: Open the alarmed wall cabinet to retrieve the HeartSine® SAM 350P AED.
- Power On: The AED will automatically power on when the cabinet is opened or by pressing the power button.
- Prepare the Patient: Use the patient prep kit to remove clothing and prepare the patient’s chest for electrode placement.
- Attach Electrodes: Follow the visual and voice prompts to correctly place the electrodes on the patient’s chest.
- Analyze Heart Rhythm: The AED will automatically analyze the patient’s heart rhythm.
- Deliver Shock (if advised): If the AED advises a shock, ensure no one is touching the patient and press the shock button.
- Follow CPR Prompts: The AED will provide voice and visual prompts for performing CPR between shocks.
- Continue Until EMS Arrives: Continue following the AED’s prompts until emergency medical services arrive.
