HOW TO USE:
- Step 1: Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and gloves, before beginning any battery work. Ensure the vehicle's ignition is off.
- Step 2: Use the BK541 4-in-1 Terminal Cleaner to thoroughly clean both the battery posts and the inside of the terminal clamps. This removes corrosion and ensures good electrical contact.
- Step 3: Select the appropriate Battery Terminal Ratchet (BK708 for 10mm, BK703 or BK705 for 5/16") to loosen the nuts on the battery terminals.
- Step 4: If terminals are stuck, use the BK706 Battery Terminal Lifter to safely pry them off the battery posts without causing damage. For stubborn or tight terminals, the BK720IM Battery Terminal Spreader/Cleaner can be used to gently expand the terminal opening.
- Step 5: Once terminals are disconnected, carefully remove the battery from its tray.
- Step 6: Place the new battery (if applicable) into the tray. Use the BK720IM Battery Terminal Spreader/Cleaner to ensure terminals are wide enough to slide onto the posts.
- Step 7: Place the cleaned or new terminals onto the battery posts. Use the appropriate Battery Terminal Ratchet (BK708, BK703, or BK705) to tighten the terminal nuts securely, but do not overtighten.
- Step 8: Ensure all battery cables are properly routed and secured.
- Step 9: Double-check all connections for tightness and cleanliness before closing the hood.
