    HOW TO USE:

    1. Prepare Your Workspace: Ensure you have a clean, well-lit area. Gather your damaged E-Z Red MR1412F 1/4" ratchet, the RK14 replacement kit, and any small screwdrivers or tools needed for disassembly.
    2. Disassemble the Old Head: Carefully remove the screws holding the existing ratchet head cover in place. Take note of the orientation of all internal components as you remove them. It can be helpful to take pictures.
    3. Remove Worn Components: Gently lift out the old or damaged pawls, springs, gear, and switch. Ensure all old parts are completely removed from the ratchet body.
    4. Clean the Ratchet Body: Use a clean cloth to wipe away any old grease or debris from the internal cavity of the ratchet head.
    5. Install New Components: Following the reverse order of disassembly, carefully place the new pawl springs into their slots, then position the new pawls. Insert the new drive gear assembly into its central position.
    6. Position the Switch: Place the new forward/reverse switch into its designated slot, ensuring it correctly engages with the pawls and gear.
    7. Attach the Thrust Plate: Carefully align the new thrust plate over the assembled internal components.
    8. Secure with Screws: Place the thrust plate screws and switch screws into their respective holes and tighten them gently but firmly to secure the head assembly. Do not overtighten.
    9. Test Functionality: Operate the forward/reverse switch and rotate the drive square by hand to ensure smooth operation and proper engagement of the mechanism. Your ratchet should now function correctly.
