HOW TO USE:
- Preparation: Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Remove the existing distributor cap and note the rotor's position.
- Removal: Disconnect the wiring from the existing distributor. Remove the hold-down clamp and carefully extract the distributor.
- Installation: Align the rotor of the FiTech 99010 distributor with the previously noted position. Insert the new distributor into the engine, ensuring the gear engages properly.
- Wiring: Connect the FiTech distributor's wiring according to the manufacturer's instructions, ensuring correct polarity.
- Timing Adjustment: Connect a timing light and start the engine. Adjust the distributor's position to achieve the desired initial timing.
- Vacuum and Mechanical Advance: Connect the vacuum advance line. Verify the mechanical advance operation by increasing engine RPM.
- Final Check: Secure the hold-down clamp and recheck the timing. Reconnect the battery terminal.
