- Marking and Drilling: Position the Truck N' Buddy in the desired location and mark the points where the mounting holes will be drilled. Use a 1/8" drill bit to drill pilot holes at these marked spots.
- Securing the Unit: Align the Truck N' Buddy with the drilled pilot holes and firmly secure it using the provided machine screws. Ensure at least 6 to 8 screws are used for a stable attachment.
- Attaching Grab-Rail: Fasten the 18-inch grab-rail to the designated mounting points on the Truck N' Buddy using the supplied bolts, flat washers, and locknuts. Tighten securely.
- Folding for Storage: When not in use or when the vehicle is in motion, easily fold the Truck N' Buddy upwards until it rests compactly against the tailgate or mounting surface.
- Unfolding for Use: To use as a step or seat, simply unfold the unit downwards until the cables are taut and the platform is level and stable.
