HOW TO USE:
- Prepare the Workpiece: Ensure your surface is clean and free of large debris. Secure the workpiece to prevent movement during sanding.
- Attach Sanding Disc: Align the holes on your 6-inch hook and loop sanding disc with the holes on the sander's pad. Press the disc firmly onto the pad to secure it.
- Connect Air Supply: Connect an air hose (minimum 3/8" I.D. recommended) from your air compressor to the sander's air inlet. Ensure your compressor can maintain 90 PSI at 8.5 CFM.
- Connect Vacuum (Optional but Recommended): Attach a vacuum hose from your dust collection system to the sander's swivel vacuum port. Use appropriate connectors (e.g., Hutchins Part No. 5301-2 or 5301-5) if not using the Part No. 780 coaxial hose assembly.
- Start Sanding: Hold the sander firmly with both hands, if applicable, and place the pad flat against the surface. Depress the trigger to start the motor.
- Apply Even Pressure: Move the sander in overlapping passes, applying light, even pressure. Allow the tool's speed and orbit to do the work, avoiding excessive force which can cause swirl marks or uneven finishes.
- Monitor Dust Collection: Regularly check your vacuum system to ensure efficient dust removal, especially when working on large areas or with fine dust.
- Power Off: Release the trigger to stop the sander. Disconnect the air supply and vacuum hose when finished or when changing discs.
