HOW TO USE:
- Drill the pilot hole: Select the appropriate cobalt drill bit that corresponds to the size of the broken fastener. The correct size is etched on the extractor itself. Carefully drill a straight pilot hole directly into the center of the broken fastener.
- Insert the extractor: Once the pilot hole is drilled to the recommended depth, insert the corresponding straight flute extractor into the hole.
- Apply torque: Use a wrench or tap handle to turn the extractor counter-clockwise (for standard threads). The extractor's straight flutes will bite into the walls of the drilled hole, securely gripping the broken fastener and backing it out.
- Remove the fastener: Continue turning the extractor until the broken piece is completely removed from the material.
