HOW TO USE:
- Wear safety glasses before starting to protect your eyes from debris.
- Use a center punch to create a small indentation in the exact center of the broken fastener.
- Using a drill and the recommended 7/64" drill bit, carefully drill a hole into the center of the broken fastener. The hole should be deep enough to allow the extractor to get a good grip.
- Insert the tip of the Irwin EX-2 Spiral Screw Extractor into the drilled hole.
- Using a tap wrench, turn the extractor slowly and firmly in a counter-clockwise direction. The spiral flutes will bite into the metal, and with continued turning, the extractor will unscrew and remove the broken fastener.
