HOW TO USE:
- Prepare the Surface: Ensure the surface to be painted is clean, dry, and properly prepped according to the coating manufacturer's recommendations (e.g., sanded, primed).
- Mix the Coating: Thoroughly mix your paint or coating to the manufacturer's specifications, including any required thinners or activators. Strain the mixed material to remove any particulates that could clog the gun.
- Fill the Cup: Pour the prepared coating into the PCG600P-2 gravity cup, ensuring not to overfill it. Securely attach the cup to the spray gun.
- Connect Air Supply: Attach your air hose to the spray gun's air inlet. Adjust your air compressor regulator to provide the recommended 15.0 PSI at the gun's inlet when the trigger is pulled (dynamic pressure).
- Adjust Controls: Set the fluid control knob (typically at the back of the gun) to control the paint flow, and adjust the fan pattern control (usually on the side of the air cap) to achieve the desired spray pattern width.
- Test Spray: Before applying to your actual workpiece, perform a test spray on scrap material to confirm the atomization, pattern, and fluid output are as desired. Adjust controls as needed.
- Apply Coating: Hold the spray gun perpendicular to the surface, maintaining a consistent distance (typically 6-8 inches). Use smooth, overlapping passes, triggering the gun at the beginning of each pass and releasing at the end.
- Clean After Use: Immediately after painting, disassemble the cup and air cap. Clean all paint passages with an appropriate solvent. Use a brush to clean the fluid nozzle and air cap. Never soak the entire gun body.
