HOW TO USE:
- Connect Air Hose: Attach a suitable air hose with a 1/4 inch fitting to the air inlet at the bottom of the spray gun handle. Ensure a secure connection to prevent air leaks.
- Attach Paint Cup: If not already attached, securely screw a compatible gravity feed paint cup onto the top port of the spray gun.
- Prepare Paint: Mix your paint according to the manufacturer's recommendations, ensuring proper viscosity. Strain the paint to remove any impurities that could clog the gun.
- Fill Paint Cup: Carefully pour the prepared paint into the gravity feed cup, ensuring not to overfill it.
- Adjust Air Pressure: Connect the air hose to your compressor and set the air pressure at the regulator to 0.20 MPa (approximately 29 PSI) or as per paint manufacturer's guidelines for your specific material.
- Adjust Spray Pattern: Test the spray pattern on a piece of scrap material. Adjust the fluid control knob (typically on the back of the gun) to control paint flow and the pattern adjustment knob (often on the side) to adjust the width and shape of the spray fan until desired results are achieved.
- Begin Painting: Hold the gun perpendicular to the surface at a consistent distance (usually 6-8 inches). Begin your stroke before pulling the trigger and release the trigger just before the end of your stroke to avoid paint build-up at the edges. Overlap each pass by approximately 50% for even coverage.
- Clean After Use: Immediately after painting, clean the spray gun thoroughly using appropriate cleaning solvents. Disassemble the air cap and nozzle for detailed cleaning to prevent paint from drying inside the gun components.
