- Preparation: Ensure the paint material is properly mixed and strained according to the manufacturer's specifications. Connect the spray gun to a clean, regulated air supply and a pressure pot or other pressure-feed fluid supply.
- Adjust Air Pressure: Set the atomizing air pressure to 0.29 MPa (or recommended pressure for your material) at the regulator for optimal atomization.
- Adjust Fluid Flow: Open or close the fluid control knob to adjust the amount of paint being supplied to the gun. Start with a moderate setting and adjust as needed.
- Adjust Fan Pattern: Rotate the fan control knob (or air cap) to achieve the desired spray pattern shape (horizontal, vertical, or round). The pattern width is 400mm at the recommended spray distance.
- Test Spray: Before applying to the final surface, perform a test spray on a scrap piece of material to check the atomization, pattern, and fluid flow. Adjust settings until the desired spray quality is achieved.
- Application: Hold the spray gun perpendicular to the surface, maintaining a consistent spray distance of 250mm. Apply paint in even, overlapping passes, triggering the gun at the beginning of each pass and releasing at the end.
- Cleaning: Immediately after use, thoroughly clean the spray gun by flushing it with an appropriate cleaning solvent or water until all paint residue is removed from the fluid passages, nozzle, and air cap. Disassemble components as needed for thorough cleaning.
