HOW TO USE:
- Preparation: Ensure your work area is well-ventilated and clean. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including a respirator, safety glasses, and gloves. Prepare the surface to be painted by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary.
- Mix Paint: Thoroughly mix your paint according to the manufacturer's instructions, ensuring correct viscosity and adding any required reducers or hardeners. Strain the paint through a fine-mesh filter into the PCG6P3 600mL cup to remove any impurities.
- Attach Cup: Securely attach the filled PCG6P3 cup to the siphon feed connection on the bottom of the spray gun.
- Connect Air Hose: Connect your air compressor's hose to the air inlet on the spray gun. Ensure the air pressure is set to the recommended range for your paint and desired atomization (typically around 2.0-3.0 bar / 29-43 psi).
- Adjust Settings: Adjust the fluid control knob (typically at the back of the gun) to control paint flow, and the fan pattern control knob (often on the side) to adjust the spray pattern width. Test the spray pattern on a practice surface (cardboard or scrap material) to fine-tune adjustments.
- Spray Application: Hold the gun perpendicular to the surface at a consistent distance (around 250mm). Begin moving the gun before triggering, release the trigger at the end of each pass, and overlap each pass by about 50% to ensure even coverage. Maintain consistent speed and distance.
- Cleaning: Immediately after use, disconnect the air hose. Empty any remaining paint from the cup and clean the cup thoroughly with appropriate cleaning solvent. Fill the cup with solvent and spray it through the gun until clear solvent emerges, flushing the fluid passages. Clean the air cap, nozzle, and needle exterior with a brush and solvent. Disassemble parts if necessary for thorough cleaning, ensuring all components are free of paint residue.
