HOW TO USE:
- Preparation: Ensure your work area is clean, well-ventilated, and adequately lit. Prepare the surface to be painted by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary.
- Mix Material: Prepare your paint or coating material according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Ensure it is properly thinned and free of contaminants. Strain the material if needed.
- Fill Cup: Attach a compatible gravity-feed cup (e.g., 70ml, 150ml, or 250ml) to the spray gun. Pour the prepared material into the cup, ensuring it is not overfilled.
- Connect Air Hose: Connect your air compressor hose to the spray gun's air inlet. Ensure the air pressure regulator on your compressor is set to the recommended operating pressure (13-14 PSI for this gun).
- Adjust Controls:
- Fluid Knob: Turn the fluid adjustment knob at the back of the gun to control the amount of material flowing out.
- Pattern Knob: Adjust the pattern control knob (usually on the side) to change the spray pattern from a round spot to a wide fan.
- Air Valve: Use the air adjustment valve at the base of the handle (if present, or control air pressure at the regulator) to fine-tune airflow.
- Test Spray: Before spraying your actual workpiece, perform a test spray on a piece of scrap material to verify the spray pattern, fluid output, and atomization. Adjust settings as needed.
- Apply Material: Hold the spray gun at a consistent distance (typically 6-8 inches) from the surface. Use smooth, even strokes, overlapping each pass by about 50%. Release the trigger at the end of each stroke.
- Clean Up: Immediately after use, disconnect the air supply and empty any remaining material from the cup. Clean the spray gun thoroughly using appropriate cleaning solvents. Spray clean solvent through the gun until it runs clear to prevent material from drying inside.
