HOW TO USE:
- Prepare the Surface: Ensure the surface to be painted is clean, dry, and properly prepared (sanded, primed, etc.).
- Mix Paint: Mix your paint or coating material according to the manufacturer's specifications. Strain the paint if necessary to prevent clogs.
- Fill the Cup: Pour the prepared paint into the 700ml aluminum cup, ensuring not to overfill. Securely attach the cup to the spray gun.
- Connect Air Supply: Connect the spray gun to a clean, regulated air supply using a 1/4 inch air hose. Set your air compressor regulator to provide 16 PSI at the gun's inlet.
- Adjust Controls:
Fluid Knob: Adjust the fluid control knob on the back of the gun to control the amount of paint flow.
Pattern Knob: Adjust the pattern control knob to achieve the desired spray pattern width (up to 10.2 inches).
Air Adjustment Valve: Use the air adjustment valve at the base of the gun (if present) to fine-tune the airflow. - Test Spray: Before applying to your actual workpiece, perform a test spray on a piece of scrap material to check the pattern, atomization, and flow. Adjust settings as needed.
- Apply Paint: Hold the gun perpendicular to the surface, maintaining a consistent distance. Begin moving the gun before pulling the trigger, release the trigger before stopping the motion. Overlap each pass by approximately 50% for even coverage.
- Clean After Use: Immediately after painting, empty any remaining paint from the cup. Disassemble the air cap and fluid nozzle. Clean all components thoroughly with the appropriate cleaning solvent. Flush the gun body by spraying solvent through it.
