HOW TO USE:
- Prepare the Work Area: Ensure your painting area is well-ventilated, clean, and free of dust. Lay down drop cloths or masking paper to protect surrounding surfaces.
- Prepare the Coating Material: Stir your primer or high-viscosity coating thoroughly. Strain the material to remove any impurities that could clog the spray gun nozzle.
- Fill the Cup: Pour the prepared coating material into the 700ml aluminum gravity cup. Do not overfill.
- Connect to Air Supply: Securely connect the 1/4 inch air inlet of the spray gun to your air compressor hose. Ensure the air pressure is regulated to 16 PSI at the gun's inlet.
- Adjust Spray Pattern: Before painting your workpiece, test the spray pattern on a scrap piece of material. Adjust the fluid control and fan control knobs to achieve the desired spray pattern and fluid flow. For this gun, a "tulip-inspired" pattern is typical.
- Apply Coating: Hold the spray gun perpendicular to the surface of your workpiece, maintaining a consistent distance. Move the gun in smooth, horizontal passes, overlapping each pass by approximately 50% to ensure even coverage.
- Clean the Gun: Immediately after use, empty any remaining material from the cup. Disassemble the cup and nozzle components. Clean all parts thoroughly with an appropriate cleaning solvent specific to the type of paint used. Reassemble only when completely dry.
