HOW TO USE:
- Prepare the Surface: Ensure the surface to be painted is clean, dry, and properly prepped according to paint manufacturer guidelines (e.g., sanded, primed, degreased).
- Mix Paint: Prepare your basecoat material according to the paint manufacturer's instructions, ensuring proper thinning and straining to prevent clogs.
- Fill Gravity Cup: Pour the prepared paint into the gravity-feed cup attached to the spray gun.
- Connect Air Supply: Attach a clean air hose to the 1/4" air inlet on the spray gun and set your air compressor regulator to the recommended 16 psi (1.1 bar) working pressure.
- Adjust Controls: Perform a test spray on scrap material to adjust the fluid control knob, fan pattern control knob, and air pressure for optimal atomization and spray pattern.
- Apply Basecoat: Hold the gun perpendicular to the workpiece, typically 100–200mm away. Move the gun in straight, horizontal passes, overlapping each pass by 50–70% for even coverage.
- Clean After Use: Immediately after painting, thoroughly clean the spray gun by flushing it with appropriate cleaning solvents or water (for waterborne paints) until all paint residue is removed from the fluid passages, nozzle, and air cap.
