HOW TO USE:
- Grip the Handle: Hold the navy blue handle firmly in one hand, ensuring your fingers are clear of the blade path. The Trac-Tec inserts will help provide a secure grip.
- Locate the Thumb Stud: Position your thumb on one of the integrated thumb studs near the pivot of the blade.
- Activate SpeedSafe® Assisted Opening: Apply firm, quick pressure to the thumb stud, pushing it away from the handle. The SpeedSafe mechanism will engage, assisting the blade to rapidly swing open.
- Confirm Lock Engagement: Listen for an audible "click" and visually confirm that the inset liner lock has fully engaged, securing the blade in the open position. The blade should be firmly held and not wobble.
- Perform Your Task: Use the plain edge, recurved drop point blade for your intended cutting or piercing task.
- Close the Blade: To close, firmly grip the handle. Using your thumb, push the liner lock mechanism (the metal bar inside the handle that rests against the base of the blade) sideways towards the handle scale, disengaging it from the blade's tang.
- Fold Blade Safely: While holding the liner lock open, carefully fold the blade back into the handle with your other hand until it is fully nested and secure. Keep fingers clear of the blade's path.
