HOW TO USE:
- Preparation: Ensure the engine is cool to the touch before starting any spark plug work. Gather your 3/8" drive ratchet, extensions (if needed), and the Lang Tools 529 magnetic spark plug socket.
- Attach to Ratchet: Firmly attach the 3/8" drive end of the Lang Tools 529 socket to your 3/8" drive ratchet. If the spark plug is deeply recessed, attach an appropriate extension between the socket and the ratchet.
- Removal: Carefully lower the magnetic socket onto the spark plug. The permanent magnet will engage and securely hold the spark plug. Turn the ratchet counter-clockwise to loosen and remove the spark plug from its cylinder head. The magnet will keep the spark plug attached to the socket as you lift it out.
- Installation: Place a new spark plug into the magnetic socket. The magnet will hold it securely in place. Carefully lower the spark plug and socket into the spark plug well. Align the spark plug with the threads in the cylinder head and begin turning clockwise by hand until snug.
- Final Tightening: Once hand-tight, use the ratchet to apply the manufacturer's recommended torque for final tightening. Remove the socket from the spark plug and proceed to the next spark plug.
