HOW TO USE:
- Prepare the Mounting Location: Ensure you have a 2.062" (52mm) diameter hole in your desired mounting surface.
- Mount the Gauge: Insert the tachometer into the hole and secure it from the back using the included gauge mounting ring. Tighten the ring until the gauge is firmly in place.
- Connect the Tachometer Harness: Locate the wire that provides the RPM signal from your vehicle's ignition system (typically from the negative side of the ignition coil or a designated tachometer output). Connect this wire to the appropriate wire on the 8 ft tachometer harness (1 Wire 2 Pin Connector).
- Connect the Power and Lighting Harness: Connect the power wire (typically red) from the 3 ft power and lighting harness to a 12V power source that is switched with the ignition. Connect the ground wire (typically black) to a suitable ground point on your vehicle's chassis. If your gauge has LED illumination, connect the illumination wire (often orange or a similar color) to your vehicle's lighting circuit so that the gauge lights up with your other instruments.
- Secure the Wiring: Ensure all wire connections are secure and properly insulated to prevent shorts or loose connections. You may use the included heat shrink tube for added protection on exposed connections.
- Test the Gauge: Start your vehicle and observe the tachometer to ensure it is reading the engine RPM correctly. If there are any issues, double-check your wiring connections.
