HOW TO USE:
- Mount the Gauge: Locate a suitable 2-1/16 inch (52mm) diameter opening in your vehicle's dashboard or a gauge pod. Secure the gauge in place using the provided mounting hardware.
- Install the Temperature Sensor: Identify a suitable location on your engine's coolant system (typically a port on the water neck or thermostat housing) for the temperature sender. Install the included Speedhut Temperature Sensor, ensuring a proper seal.
- Connect the Sensor Wiring: Connect one end of the Temperature Gauge Wiring Harness (2-Wire Cable) to the terminals on the installed Temperature Sensor. Route the other end of the harness to the back of the gauge.
- Connect Power and Lighting: Connect the 3 ft Power & Lighting Harness to the designated terminals on the back of the gauge. Connect the power wire (typically red) to a switched 12V power source in your vehicle and the ground wire (typically black) to a suitable ground point. If your gauge has LED lighting, connect the appropriate wire in this harness to your vehicle's lighting circuit if desired.
- Connect the Warning Light (if applicable): Some gauges may have a separate wire for the warning light output. Connect this wire according to the gauge's specific instructions if you intend to use an external warning indicator.
- Set the Warning Threshold: Follow the gauge's instructions to set your desired high-temperature warning point.
- Test the Gauge: Once all connections are made, start your vehicle and observe the gauge reading as the engine warms up. Verify that the warning light functions correctly when the set temperature is exceeded.
