HOW TO USE:
- Mount the Gauge: Select a suitable location on your dashboard or gauge pod and drill a 2.67-inch (68mm) diameter hole. Secure the gauge in place using the included mounting ring.
- Install the Temperature Probe: Mount the Type K thermocouple probe in the exhaust manifold or pre-turbo exhaust stream, following the probe manufacturer's instructions for optimal placement. Ensure the 9-foot braided steel line is routed safely away from heat sources and moving parts.
- Connect the Wiring Harness: Connect the 3 ft power and lighting harness to the gauge. Typically, this involves connecting power, ground, and illumination wires. Refer to your vehicle's wiring diagram for appropriate connections.
- Connect the Probe to the Gauge: Connect the other end of the Type K thermocouple probe to the designated input terminals on the back of the Speedhut EGT gauge. Ensure correct polarity if specified.
- Test the Gauge: Once all connections are made, start your vehicle and observe the gauge readings. The gauge should display the exhaust gas temperature. Verify that the illumination (if connected) is functioning correctly.
