HOW TO USE:
- Prepare the Mounting Location: Choose a suitable location for the gauge and drill a 2.67" (68mm) diameter hole if necessary.
- Install the Gauge Mounting Ring: Insert the included mounting ring into the prepared hole.
- Mount the Gauge: Insert the Speedhut EGT gauge into the mounting ring from the front. Secure it from the back using the ring's mechanism.
- Install the EGT Probe: Identify a suitable location in the exhaust manifold (ideally pre-turbo if applicable). Drill and tap a hole to accommodate the 1/8" NPT fitting of the EGT probe. Screw the probe into the tapped hole, ensuring the tip is positioned correctly in the exhaust stream.
- Connect the Wiring Harness: Connect the wires from the included 3 ft power and lighting harness to the appropriate power, ground, and (optional) lighting sources in your vehicle according to the harness instructions.
- Connect the Probe Wiring: Connect the wires from the 9 ft EGT probe to the corresponding terminals on the back of the gauge, ensuring correct polarity as indicated in the gauge's instructions.
- Set the Warning Light (if applicable): Follow the gauge's instructions to set the desired temperature threshold for the warning light.
- Test the Gauge: Once all connections are made, start your vehicle and observe the gauge readings to ensure proper function. Verify that the warning light activates when the set temperature is exceeded (if tested).
