HOW TO USE:
- Mount the Gauge: Secure the gauge in a 2.67" (68mm) diameter hole using the provided mounting ring.
- Install the Temperature Probe: Mount the 14mm K-Type thermocouple probe under a suitable spark plug on the cylinder head. Ensure it is properly positioned and tightened according to the spark plug manufacturer's instructions.
- Connect the Wiring:
- Connect the red wire from the power harness to a +12V accessory power source.
- Connect the black wire to a suitable ground.
- Connect the white wire to a +12V dash lighting source if you desire the gauge to illuminate with your vehicle's lights.
- Connect the temperature probe to the gauge using the designated wires on the harness.
- Set the Warning Light: Once the gauge is powered, follow the instructions included with the product to set your desired low and high temperature warning thresholds. This typically involves pressing and holding a button on the gauge face or back for a specific duration and then adjusting the set points.
- Monitor Temperature: Observe the gauge during vehicle operation to track the cylinder head temperature. The pointer will indicate the current temperature in Celsius.
- Recall Peak Temperature (If Needed): If you want to see the highest or lowest temperature reached during a drive, follow the instructions in the product manual to activate the peak recall function.
