HOW TO USE:
- Mount the Gauge: Select a suitable location on your dashboard and drill a 2.67-inch (68mm) hole. Insert the tachometer into the hole from the front.
- Secure the Gauge: From the back of the dashboard, slide the included gauge mounting ring over the back of the tachometer and tighten it to secure the gauge in place.
- Connect the Power and Lighting Harness: Connect the 3 ft Power & Lighting Harness to the appropriate power and ground sources in your vehicle's electrical system. This harness also powers the gauge's illumination.
- Connect the Tachometer Signal Harness: Locate the tachometer signal wire from your engine's ignition system (typically from the negative side of the ignition coil or an equivalent tach output). Connect this wire to the single wire on the 8 ft Tachometer Harness. Connect the other end of this harness to the designated input on the back of the tachometer.
- Program the Shift Light (if desired): Follow the specific instructions provided by Speedhut (which may involve button presses or a specific sequence) to set the desired RPM point at which the internal shift light will activate.
- Verify Functionality: Start your engine and observe the tachometer reading to ensure it is accurately displaying the engine's RPM. Check that the shift light illuminates at the programmed RPM point.
