Its clear 2 5/8" display allows for easy observation of AFR values ranging from 8.5 (rich) to 18 (lean). Installation is straightforward, requiring a 2.67" (68mm) mounting hole. Please note that this gauge does not have a built-in warning light; users must rely on the digital readout for AFR monitoring. HOW TO USE:
- Mount the Gauge: Locate a suitable 2.67" (68mm) opening in your vehicle's dashboard or instrument panel and securely mount the Speedhut gauge.
- Connect the Power and Lighting Harness: Connect the 3 ft Power & Lighting Harness to a suitable 12V power source and ground in your vehicle. This harness will power the gauge's operation and LED illumination.
- Connect the Tachometer Harness (for LED): Connect the 8 ft Tachometer Harness to a suitable tachometer signal source if you wish the LED lighting to react to engine RPM (this is optional and solely for visual effect).
- Interface with AEM Inline Controller: Ensure your AEM Inline wideband controller is properly installed with its wideband oxygen sensor in the exhaust system. Connect the analog output signal from the AEM Inline controller (which outputs 0.5V-4.5V corresponding to 8.5-18 AFR) to the input of the Speedhut gauge. Refer to the wiring diagrams for both the Speedhut gauge and the AEM Inline controller for correct connections.
- Verify Operation: Once all connections are made, start your vehicle and confirm that the gauge powers on and displays the air/fuel ratio readings from the AEM Inline controller.
