HOW TO USE:
- Preparation: Identify a suitable 2.67" (68mm) diameter location on your Datsun Z's dashboard for mounting the gauge. Ensure there is adequate clearance behind the dashboard for the gauge and its wiring.
- Wiring Connection (Power & Lighting): Connect the included 3 ft Power & Lighting Harness to the appropriate power and ground sources in your vehicle's electrical system. This harness will also power the gauge's illumination. Refer to your vehicle's wiring diagram for correct connections.
- Wiring Connection (Voltage): Connect the voltage input wires from the gauge to a reliable 12V source in your vehicle that is active when the ignition is on.
- Wiring Connection (Fuel Level): Connect the fuel level input wire from the gauge to the signal wire coming from your Datsun Z's fuel level sending unit in the fuel tank.
- Gauge Mounting: Insert the gauge into the prepared 2.67" hole in your dashboard. Secure the gauge from the rear using the included mounting ring. Tighten the ring sufficiently to hold the gauge firmly in place without overtightening.
- Testing: Once all connections are made, turn on your vehicle's ignition to check if the gauge powers on and displays the correct voltage and fuel level readings. Verify the illumination also functions as expected.
