HOW TO USE:
- Mount the Tachometer: Locate a suitable 3.33" (85mm) diameter opening in your vehicle's dashboard or instrument panel. Secure the tachometer in place.
- Connect the Power and Lighting Harness: Attach the 3 ft power and lighting harness to the designated terminals on the back of the tachometer. Connect the power wire to a 12V power source that is switched with the ignition. Connect the ground wire to a suitable ground point. The lighting wires will power the LED illumination of the gauge when your vehicle's lights are turned on.
- Connect the Signal Wire: Using the 2-wire cable wiring harness, connect one wire to the designated RPM signal output on your diesel engine's control unit or alternator (this will vary depending on your specific vehicle; consult your vehicle's service manual for the exact location). Connect the other wire to a suitable ground point.
- Test the Tachometer: Start your vehicle and observe the tachometer reading as the engine RPM changes. Verify that the shift light illuminates at the desired RPM.
