HOW TO USE:
- Mount the Gauge: Locate a suitable 3.375" (86mm) diameter hole on your dashboard or instrument panel. Insert the Speedhut dual gauge into the hole and secure it using the included mounting ring from the back.
- Install the Pressure Sensor: Identify a suitable port on your engine for the oil pressure sensor. Typically, this is where the factory oil pressure sender is located. Remove the factory sender (if present) and install the included Speedhut 100 psi pressure sensor. Ensure it is tightened securely.
- Connect the Pressure Sensor Wiring: Connect the 3-wire pressure gauge wiring harness to the terminals on the installed pressure sensor. Route the other end of the harness to the back of the gauge and connect it to the designated pressure input.
- Install the Temperature Sensor: Locate a suitable port on your engine's coolant system for the temperature sensor. This is often near the thermostat housing or in a coolant passage. Install the included Speedhut temperature sensor, ensuring a good seal.
- Connect the Temperature Sensor Wiring: Connect the 2-wire temperature gauge wiring harness to the terminals on the installed temperature sensor. Route the other end of the harness to the back of the gauge and connect it to the designated temperature input.
- Connect the Power and Lighting Harness: Connect the 3 ft power and lighting harness to the designated power and ground terminals on the back of the gauge. Connect the power wire to a switched 12V source in your vehicle's electrical system. Connect the ground wire to a reliable ground point on the vehicle's chassis. The third wire is typically for the gauge's lighting and can be connected to your vehicle's lighting circuit if desired.
- Test the Gauge: Once all connections are made, turn on your vehicle's ignition. The gauge should power on and display readings for both water temperature and oil pressure. Verify that the readings are within expected ranges.
- Configure the Warning Light (if applicable): Some Speedhut gauges allow you to set custom warning thresholds. Refer to the specific instructions included with your gauge to program the warning light to activate at your desired temperature and pressure levels.
