HOW TO USE:
- Mount the Gauge: Locate a suitable position on your dashboard or mounting panel and create a 3.95-inch (100mm) diameter hole. Secure the tachometer using the included mounting ring.
- Connect the Power and Lighting Harness: Connect the 3 ft Power & Lighting Harness to a suitable power source (typically a switched 12V source) and ground in your vehicle. This harness will also power the gauge's internal lighting.
- Connect the Tachometer Signal Harness: Connect the 8 ft Tachometer Harness to the RPM signal output from your vehicle's ignition system. This is usually a wire coming from the negative side of the coil or the ECU, depending on your vehicle. Ensure a secure connection.
- Ground the Tachometer Signal Harness: Connect the ground wire from the 8 ft Tachometer Harness to a reliable ground point on your vehicle's chassis.
- Calibrate the Shift Light (Optional): If desired, calibrate the internal shift light according to your engine's optimal shift points. This often involves setting the number of pulses per revolution based on your engine type (refer to your vehicle's service manual or Speedhut's instructions if available).
