HOW TO USE:

1. Determine Quantity: For optimal results, it is generally recommended to use three stakes per tree.
2. Prepare for Installation: For existing trees, identify the dripline/canopy area. For new plants, locate the outer edge of the root ball.
3. Position Stakes:
   • For newly planted trees or saplings, install the stakes outside the root ball in a triangular pattern.
   • For existing or established trees, install the stakes just inside the dripline or canopy of the tree.
4. Install Stakes: Place the pointed end of the stake on the ground at the desired location. Use a 3-5 lb. sledgehammer to carefully drive the stake into the ground until only the cap is visible. The cap is designed to resist breaking or cracking during installation.
5. Connect Water Source:
   • For automatic drip systems: Insert a 1/4" drip line securely into the custom slotted cap.
   • For hose watering: Create a tree berm around the tree and direct water into the open stake, allowing it to flow directly to the roots.
6. Apply Fertilizer (Optional): If desired, pour liquid or granular fertilizer directly into the open shaft of the stake. Water will then carry the nutrients directly to the root zone.
