HOW TO USE:
- Concrete Moisture Testing (using Rapid RH® L6 System):
- Drill test holes in the concrete slab according to ASTM F2170 standards using the provided ¾” SDS masonry drill bit.
- Clean the test holes using the wire cleaning brush and vacuum attachment.
- Insert a Sleeve Extension into each test hole.
- Place an L6 Smart Sensor inside the Sleeve Extension.
- Using L6 DataGrabber: Snap the L6 DataGrabber into the Smart Sensor. Use the DataMaster L6 app to set up a data collection schedule. The DataGrabber will automatically record RH and temperature data.
- Using Total Reader: Alternatively, use the Total Reader to take immediate readings from the Smart Sensor or to download stored data. Connect the Total Reader to the DataMaster L6 app via Bluetooth® to record and report data.
- Cover the test hole with a Protective Cap.
- Allow the sensors to equilibrate for the required time as per ASTM F2170.
- Collect data using the DataGrabber and DataMaster L6 app or the Total Reader and DataMaster L6 app.
- Generate reports using the DataMaster L6 app.
- Wood Moisture Testing (using Orion® 950):
- Ensure the Orion® 950 is calibrated using the On-Demand Calibrator.
- Select the appropriate wood species setting on the meter.
- Place the sensor pad of the Orion® 950 firmly on the surface of the wood flooring.
- Read the moisture content displayed on the meter.
- For dual-depth readings, press the appropriate button to measure at the desired depth.
- Connect the Orion® 950 to a compatible device via Bluetooth® if desired for data logging.
- Ambient Condition Monitoring (using Smart Logger™):
- Place the Smart Logger™ device in the area where ambient conditions need to be monitored.
- Use the Smart Logger app to connect to the device via Bluetooth®.
- Program the reading intervals and set alarm ranges as needed.
- The Smart Logger will automatically record ambient RH and temperature.
- Use the Smart Logger app to download the recorded data and generate reports.
- Surface Temperature Measurement (using Infrared Thermometer):
- Point the IR thermometer at the surface you want to measure.
- Read the surface temperature displayed on the thermometer.
