HOW TO USE:
- Mounting: Securely attach the Caloritech SD1061 strip heater to the desired surface using the integrated slotted mounting tabs. Ensure the mounting allows for linear expansion during operation.
- Electrical Connection: Connect the two bolt terminals of the strip heater to a 120V power source. It is designed for hardwired installation. For applications where voltage to ground exceeds 300V, ensure secondary insulators are correctly installed as per safety guidelines.
- Temperature Control (Optional): While the heater comes without an integrated thermostat, for controlled heating, integrate it with a compatible external temperature control device. This can be a Caloritech CPA or CPB control panel, a mechanical thermostat, or bi-metal thermostats, which need to be purchased separately.
- Power On: Once properly mounted and wired, apply power to the heater. Monitor the initial operation to ensure it is heating as expected.
- Maintenance: Regularly inspect the heater and connections for any signs of wear or damage. Ensure the area around the heater remains clear to prevent obstruction of heat dissipation.
