HOW TO USE:
- Mount the Heater: Securely fasten the Caloritech SS2061 strip heater to a smooth, metallic surface. Ensure complete contact along the entire length of the heater using appropriate clamping mechanisms to facilitate efficient heat transfer. The slotted mounting holes on the heater are provided for this purpose.
- Wire the Heater: Connect the electrical wiring to the two offset bolt-type terminals located at one end of the heater. Ensure all electrical connections comply with local electrical codes and safety standards.
- Connect to Power Source: Route the wiring to a compatible 120V AC power source.
- Install Temperature Control (Optional but Recommended): For precise temperature management and safety, integrate an external temperature control device such as a Caloritech™ CPA or CPB control panel, a mechanical thermostat, or a bi-metal thermostat. This heater does not have an integrated thermostat.
- Test Operation: After all connections are made and secured, apply power to the heater and verify its operation. Monitor the temperature as needed with an external sensor if not using a controlled system.
- Regular Inspection: Periodically inspect the heater and its connections for any signs of wear, damage, or loose connections to ensure continued safe and effective operation.
