HOW TO USE:
- Access the AED: Open the alarmed wall cabinet to retrieve the HeartSine® SAM 450P AED.
- Power On: Turn on the AED by pressing the power button.
- Apply Pads: Follow the visual and audio prompts to correctly apply the electrode pads to the patient’s chest.
- Analyze Rhythm: The AED will analyze the patient’s heart rhythm. Do not touch the patient during analysis.
- Deliver Shock (if advised): If the AED advises a shock, ensure no one is touching the patient and press the shock button.
- Perform CPR: Follow the AED’s CPR Advisor prompts for chest compressions and rescue breaths.
- Continue as Directed: Continue following the AED’s prompts until emergency services arrive or the patient shows signs of recovery.
