HOW TO USE:
- Access the AED: Open the alarmed wall cabinet. The alarm will sound, alerting those nearby.
- Turn on the AED: The LIFEPAK CR2 will automatically begin providing voice prompts.
- Prepare the Patient: Use the prep kit to remove clothing and hair from the patient’s chest as necessary.
- Attach the Electrodes: Follow the visual and voice prompts to correctly place the QUIK-STEP™ electrodes on the patient's chest.
- Analyze the Heart Rhythm: The AED will analyze the patient’s heart rhythm and determine if a shock is needed.
- Deliver a Shock (if advised): If a shock is needed, the AED will prompt you to ensure no one is touching the patient before pressing the shock button.
- Perform CPR: If no shock is advised or after a shock is delivered, follow the AED’s CPR coaching and metronome to perform chest compressions.
- Continue as Directed: Follow the AED’s prompts until emergency services arrive.
