HOW TO USE:
- Preparation: Ensure your work area is clean, well-ventilated, and properly lit. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including a respirator, safety glasses, and gloves. Prepare the surface to be painted by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary.
- Material Mixing: Mix your coating material according to the manufacturer's instructions for viscosity and reduction. Strain the material to remove any particulates that could clog the gun or affect the finish.
- Fill Cup: Pour the prepared coating material into the 1000mL aluminum gravity cup.
- Connect Air Supply: Attach an air hose from your compressor to the spray gun's air inlet. If you do not have an inline air regulator, ensure your compressor's output pressure is set to the recommended 20 psi (1.4 bar) at the gun.
- Adjust Settings: Adjust the fluid needle to control the amount of material flow and the air cap to control the spray pattern. Test the spray pattern on a piece of scrap material to ensure even coverage and proper atomization before applying to your workpiece.
- Application: Hold the spray gun perpendicular to the surface at a consistent distance. Begin spraying off the workpiece, then move across the surface in smooth, overlapping passes. Release the trigger at the end of each pass.
- Cleaning: Immediately after use, empty any remaining material from the cup. Disassemble the air cap and fluid tip. Clean all components thoroughly with the appropriate cleaning solvent. Ensure all passages are clear of paint residue to prevent future clogging. Reassemble the gun.
