HOW TO USE:

1. Preparation: Ensure your air compressor can supply the required 8.3 CFM at 14 PSI. Connect a clean air hose to the gun's 1/4" air nipple. If you have purchased a separate fluid cup, securely attach it to the gun's M16 x 1.5 fluid nipple.
2. Cleaning: Before first use or after prolonged storage, flush the gun's fluid passages with a compatible solvent to remove any rust preventative oil or debris.
3. Paint Loading: Pour your prepared fine metallic or pearl refinish paint into a compatible gravity-feed paint cup (not included with this "gun only" model). Ensure the paint is mixed and filtered according to the paint manufacturer's recommendations.
4. Initial Setup & Testing: Set the air regulator on your air supply to approximately 14 PSI at the gun inlet with the trigger fully pulled and pattern/fluid adjustments fully open. On a test panel, practice spraying and adjust the fluid output and pattern width to achieve your desired finish. The optimal spray distance is typically 4 to 8 inches (100-200mm) from the workpiece.
5. Application: Hold the spray gun perpendicular to the surface being painted, maintaining a consistent distance. Move the gun in straight, overlapping passes. Avoid arcing the gun, as this can lead to uneven application.
6. Cleaning After Use: Immediately after each use, pour any remaining paint back into its container. Clean the paint passages and air cap by spraying a small amount of compatible thinner through the gun. Disassemble the air cap and fluid nozzle for thorough cleaning with a brush and cleaning solvent. Ensure all paint residues are removed to prevent future pattern issues.
