HOW TO USE:
- Mount the Gauge: Locate a suitable 2 1/16 inch (52mm) diameter opening in your vehicle's dashboard or instrument panel. Secure the gauge in place using the appropriate mounting hardware (not included, as mounting methods vary by vehicle).
- Install the Pressure Sensor: Identify a suitable port on your engine's oil system to install the provided 100 psi pressure sensor. Ensure the sensor is properly threaded and sealed to prevent leaks.
- Connect the Wiring Harness:
- Connect one end of the provided Pressure Gauge Wiring Harness (3-Wire Cable) to the terminals on the back of the oil pressure gauge.
- Connect the other end of the Pressure Gauge Wiring Harness to the corresponding terminals on the pressure sensor. Ensure a secure and correct connection according to the gauge's wiring diagram (refer to the manufacturer's instructions if available).
- Connect the 3 ft Power & Lighting Harness to the designated power and ground terminals on the back of the gauge. Typically, this harness will also have a wire for the instrument panel lighting circuit, allowing the gauge to illuminate with your other gauges. Connect this wire accordingly.
- Connect Power and Ground: Connect the power wire from the Power & Lighting Harness to a switched 12V power source in your vehicle (one that is active when the ignition is on). Connect the ground wire to a reliable ground point on your vehicle's chassis.
- Set the Warning Light (if applicable): Once the gauge is powered on, refer to the manufacturer's instructions on how to set the desired pressure threshold for the warning light. This usually involves pressing a button or following a specific sequence to program the alert.
- Verify Operation: Start your vehicle and observe the oil pressure reading on the gauge. Ensure the reading corresponds to your vehicle's expected oil pressure. Check that the warning light illuminates if the pressure falls below your set threshold.
