HOW TO USE:
- Mount the Gauge: Choose a suitable location on your dashboard or instrument panel and drill a 2.67-inch (68mm) hole. Securely mount the Speedhut Transmission Temperature Gauge in this opening.
- Install the Temperature Sensor: Locate a suitable test port or access point on your automatic transmission pan. Install the included Speedhut Temperature Sensor in this location. Ensure it is securely fastened.
- Connect the Sensor Wiring: Connect one end of the Temperature Gauge Wiring Harness (2-Wire Cable) to the terminals on the Speedhut Temperature Sensor. Connect the other end of this harness to the corresponding terminals on the back of the temperature gauge.
- Connect Power and Lighting: Connect the 3 ft Power & Lighting Harness to the power and ground sources in your vehicle's electrical system. Typically, you will connect the power wire to an ignition-switched power source and the ground wire to a suitable ground point. Connect the other end of this harness to the appropriate terminals on the back of the gauge to power it and its backlighting.
- Set the Warning Light (if applicable): Refer to the Speedhut gauge's instructions for details on how to set the desired maximum temperature threshold for the warning light.
- Test the Gauge: Start your vehicle and allow the transmission to warm up. Observe the gauge to ensure it is displaying accurate temperature readings. Verify that the warning light functions correctly when the temperature exceeds the set limit.
