HOW TO USE:
- Mount the Gauge: Locate a suitable 2.67" (68mm) diameter hole in your vehicle's dashboard or instrument panel. Securely mount the Speedhut Water Temp Gauge in this opening.
- Connect the Temperature Sensor: Install the included 2-wire temperature sensor in the appropriate port on your engine's cooling system (typically where the factory temperature sensor is located or an available auxiliary port). Connect the 2-wire cable from the sensor to the designated terminals on the back of the gauge.
- Connect Power and Lighting: Attach the 3 ft power and lighting harness to the gauge's power and ground terminals. Connect the power wire to a switched 12V source in your vehicle (one that is only active when the ignition is on). Connect the ground wire to a suitable grounding point on your vehicle's chassis. If your gauge has backlighting, connect the lighting wire to your vehicle's headlight or instrument panel lighting circuit.
- Set the Warning Light (if applicable): Refer to the gauge's instructions on how to set the desired high-temperature warning threshold. This usually involves pressing a button or using a specific sequence to program the alert temperature.
- Verify Operation: Once all connections are made, start your vehicle and allow it to reach operating temperature. Observe the gauge to ensure it is providing accurate temperature readings. Check that the warning light illuminates when the set temperature is exceeded (if you have set a warning).
