HOW TO USE:
- Prepare the Mounting Location: Ensure you have a 3.33-inch (85mm) diameter hole in your instrument panel where you want to install the tachometer.
- Connect the Wiring Harness (2-Wire Cable): Connect one wire to the diesel engine's tachometer signal output wire. Connect the other wire to a reliable ground source in your vehicle. Refer to your vehicle's wiring diagram for the correct signal wire.
- Connect the Power & Lighting Harness: Connect the positive wire from the 3 ft Power & Lighting Harness to a switched 12V power source in your vehicle (one that is active when the ignition is on). Connect the ground wire from this harness to a reliable ground. If your gauge has LED lighting, this harness will power it.
- Install the Gauge: Carefully insert the tachometer into the prepared mounting hole. Secure it from the back using the appropriate mounting hardware (usually included with the gauge).
- Connect the Harnesses to the Gauge: Plug the 2-wire signal/ground harness and the power/lighting harness into the corresponding connectors on the back of the tachometer.
- Test the Gauge: Start your diesel engine and observe if the tachometer is providing accurate RPM readings. If your gauge has LED lighting, ensure it is functioning correctly.
- Use the Programming Button (If Applicable): If your gauge features customizable LED lighting, use the included programming button according to the manufacturer's instructions to set your desired colors or modes.
