HOW TO USE:
- Preparation: Disconnect the negative terminal of your vehicle's battery for safety.
- Mounting: Locate a suitable position on your dashboard and drill a 3.28 inch (83mm) diameter hole. Insert the gauge into the hole and secure it using the provided mounting hardware.
- Wiring - Power and Lighting: Connect the 3 ft Power & Lighting Harness to a suitable power source (typically 12V switched ignition), ground, and lighting circuit in your vehicle, following the harness's wiring diagram.
- Wiring - Sensors:
- Connect the provided Speedhut Temperature Sensor to the appropriate port on the back of the gauge using the Temperature Gauge Wiring Harness (2-Wire Cable). Install the temperature sensor in the designated location on your engine (e.g., coolant passage).
- Connect the provided 100 psi Pressure Sensor to the appropriate port on the back of the gauge using the Pressure Gauge Wiring Harness (3-Wire Cable). Install the pressure sensor in the designated location on your engine's oil system.
- Connect your vehicle's existing fuel level sensor to the designated terminals on the back of the gauge using the Wiring Harness (2-Wire Cable), ensuring compatibility with a 300 ohms or less signal.
- Final Connections: Double-check all wiring connections for accuracy and secureness.
- Battery Reconnection: Reconnect the negative terminal of your vehicle's battery.
- Calibration (Fuel Level): If necessary, calibrate the fuel level gauge to match your vehicle's fuel level sender unit according to the gauge's calibration instructions (refer to the Speedhut documentation for specific steps).
- Testing: Turn on your vehicle's ignition to verify that all gauge readings are functioning correctly and that the warning light operates as expected.
