HOW TO USE:
- Mount the Gauge: Locate a suitable 4-inch (100mm) opening in your vehicle's dashboard or instrument panel. Insert the Speedhut gauge into the opening and secure it using the spin-lock ring from the back of the gauge.
- Connect Power and Lighting: Connect the 3 ft Power & Lighting Harness to the gauge. Connect the red wire to a 12V positive power source that is switched with the ignition. Connect the black wire to a reliable ground. The other wires in this harness are typically for optional lighting control.
- Install the GPS Antenna: Choose a location for the GPS antenna that has a clear view of the sky. Ensure the mounting surface is clean and secure. Connect the GPS antenna cable to the corresponding connector on the back of the gauge.
- Connect the Tachometer Signal: Locate a suitable tachometer signal wire in your vehicle's engine bay. This is typically a wire connected to the negative side of the ignition coil, the ECU's tach output, or another appropriate RPM signal source. Connect this wire to the designated wire on the 8 ft Tachometer Harness. Ensure this connection is secure and properly insulated.
- Start Your Vehicle: Once all connections are made, start your vehicle. The speedometer should begin displaying your speed as soon as it acquires a GPS signal. The tachometer should display the engine's RPM.
