    The Speedhut GM Speedometers Clip-on Mechanical Drive Cable (A-283) provides a direct connection between the Speedhut SPEEDBOX™ GPS/VSS to Mechanical Drive Speedometer Converter (sold separately) and your original General Motors vehicle's mechanical speedometer that utilizes a "CLIP-ON STYLE" connector. This 3-foot cable is designed for ease of installation, offering sufficient length and flexibility to mount the SPEEDBOX™ in a convenient and accessible location behind your dashboard. By linking these two components, you can drive your vehicle's stock mechanical speedometer using a precise GPS signal provided by the SPEEDBOX™.

    HOW TO USE:

    1. Install the Speedhut SPEEDBOX™: Mount the SPEEDBOX™ unit behind your vehicle's dashboard with access to a 12V power source and ground.
    2. Connect the Cable to the SPEEDBOX™: Attach one end of the A-283 cable to the mechanical output port on the SPEEDBOX™.
    3. Connect the Cable to the Speedometer: Attach the other end to the clip-on connection point on your original GM mechanical speedometer.
    4. Power On the SPEEDBOX™: After connecting, power on your vehicle so the SPEEDBOX™ can acquire GPS and transmit signal through the cable.
    5. Verify Speedometer Function: Confirm your speedometer is functioning and displaying accurate speed. Refer to SPEEDBOX™ manual for calibration if needed.
