    HOW TO USE:

    • Install Battery: Open the battery compartment and insert a 9-volt battery, ensuring correct polarity.
    • Power On: Press the ON/HOLD button to turn on the meter.
    • Select Species: Use the up and down arrow buttons to select the appropriate wood species setting from the species settings booklet or the common flooring materials reference card.
    • Calibrate (If Needed): Place the On-Demand Calibrator on a stable surface and then place the scanning area of the Orion 920 onto it. Press the ON/HOLD button to automatically calibrate the meter.
    • Take Measurement: Place the scanning area of the meter flat against the surface of the wood you want to measure, ensuring good contact.
    • Read Measurement: The moisture content reading will be displayed on the screen.
    • Hold Reading (Optional): Press the ON/HOLD button to freeze the reading on the display.
    • Relative Measurement (Optional): Consult the instruction manual for the specific procedure to use the relative measurement mode.
    • Power Off: The meter will automatically shut off after 60 seconds of inactivity, or you can turn it off manually by pressing and holding the ON/HOLD button.
